interpersonal conflict/team work, health surveillance, promotion of OHM and support scheme, participation in decision making, site hygienist, health awareness training and promotion, management support, and engaging workforce to improve OHSC. Through conducting an online survey to industry experts who were mostly the leadership team of large construction companies, the top five most important factors analysed through relative importance index and analytical hierarchy process were tight deadlines, communication, effective planning, work-life balance, participation in decision making. Further, management of stress and fatigue were found to be the most important shaping factor for effective administration of the non-physical occupational hazards while at the same time stress was expressed as the main trigger to non-physical occupational health in construction companies. Stress management is thus the most important element for small companies to incorporate in their work strategy programs as it is the leading factor which causes the non-physical occupational distress. The first five foremost measures identified in the study that affect stress are tight deadlines, communication, effective planning, work-life balance, participation in decision making, so the company should look for measures revolving these areas to reduce the effect of stress on its employees.
