Replenishment is normally done twice a week, where workers check if there are areas in the DC that need to be replenished. It is essential that the quantity of the goods correspond with each other, the operators do this check when order picking . 3.5 Shipping Process This process entails the departure of goods. The DC also applies service level agreements, making sure that there is availability of goods, and that the customer receives the desired goods on time. The dispatch controller will finalise the shipping order, making sure of quality checks. The goods are then delivered to the customer, within the required time, by the freight forwarder . 4. The DC should be in its well-structured form, along with clearly set goals and how transparency can be achieved within the warehouse. The warehouse ranks at 66, 7% for its effective stage, which can be considered average. Aerosud makes use of software called SYSPRO; it aids the warehouse with solutions for inventory management, supply chain management and order management. Demand predictions are also done using Electronic Data Interchange systems. 7

4.2 Responsive Stage (48, 3%) Performance increase is essential in this process, through the utilisation of information technology. The company’s responsiveness is at 48, 3% which is quite low. This concludes that there are currently not enough information systems in the warehouse, which aid the needs of the facility. This leads to operation not receiving maximum performance. A proper warehouse management system should be adopted in order to achieve increase in performance, and so that the facility’s progress can be tracked and over viewed in real time. 4.2 Collaborative Stage (43, 3 %) The maturity level for the collaborative stage is 43, 3 %. In this stage, we see a response in the deployment of capacity as well as effective processes. Moreover, the DC should be well organised and also start to shift its focus and optimisation to the wider supply chain. In this stage, the warehouse strives to align its services the supply chain. Aerosud has not reached a good level for its collaborative stage, it is clearly evident that the DC has to improve its collaboration within the supply chain and also have awareness on the warehousing costs that are impacted by both the internal functions as well as external parties.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
