What is insulation resistance testing? It basically involves application of a DC voltage across insulation The instrument then measures the amount of current flowing (leakage current )through the insulation Finally it calculates(using Ohm's Law) the resistance in mega ohms. Insulation resistance is a measure of insulation integrity
