6.2 Sources of recruitment Recruiting is one of the most important steps in recruiting. In order to increase the attractiveness and employment opportunities of the candidates, the source of the recruitment can be obtained from inside or outside. Recruitment sources have two types that is internal recruitment and external recruitment. Internal recruitment is used to recruit members of the organization by creating employment conditions for employees or paying higher wages when working overtime or doing well in a certain project (Myrna Gusdorf, MBA, SPHR, 2008). External recruitment must be planned beforehand, then rapidly developing to the workforce, outsourced to provide employees with appropriate work in the organization (Myrna Gusdorf, MBA, SPHR, 2008). Traditional recruitment is the process by which people apply for a job by paper. With traditional recruitment, job information should be advertised in newspapers, posting employment information in local offices or temporary agencies. This method is not very effective for recruitment but also time consuming (Bizfluent, 2018).
