If all is ok, we are ready to start the next steps of the course. 37 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Rahaf Abuharb - Wednesday, 17 April 2019, 11:55 PM Hello Ahmad Thank for sharing your information and experience with us I do almost the same

Thank you and nice yo meet you Rahaf 22 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Gilmar Mauricio Centeno Mejia - Tuesday, 16 April 2019, 10:38 AM I installed R studio, and luckily I had to click only one executable to get it done, I have run some lines of code to test it (so this will be my tip: try to run any command to test the installation). My setup is an HP laptop with Windows 10 x64 52 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Luca Valcavi - Wednesday, 17 April 2019, 3:30 PM Hello Gilmar, Interesting points: every machine and every operating system could react di²erently to the same installation program, so it is essential to add details to our replies, as you have done. 32 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Martin Ferreira - Tuesday, 16 April 2019, 9:48 PM Hi All, I really don't have much to report here because my installation went ´awlessly, I was trying out R within minutes. The GUI is clearly a very outdated VB app but who cares, it certainly seems fast and functional so far and that's all we need. I will however also be experimenting with the USB option in case I need to continue my studies at work... Anyway I guess the only other thing I want to add is welcome to MATH 1280. I wish all of you the best of luck! 92 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Discussion Question #1 by Alex Maina - Wednesday, 17 April 2019, 12:29 AM Hi Martin, Thank you for sharing your experience on the installation. Thanks for chiming in! Like you, I was also interested in the USB option, but the o³ce I work at is pretty strict and hooking up a work computer to a personal device would probably be seen as a security breach... I'm guessing you don't have that problem! The only thing I needed to do is install it with admin rights as my laptop has a standard and administrator user accounts. Looking forward to learning from everyone. The installation of some application needs to be the "administrator" of our PC: it means that we need to use particular attention on what we are doing.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
