SAP is a huge company that o²ers a wide variety of resources, cloud based software, and consulting services for other organizations. Their consulting abilities are above reproach, and the implementation of the Project Manager is a wise strategic move for managing the tactics of implementation. I have personally researched SAP for their CRM solutions and came across Business One as well. For my company they would o²er excellent ERP resources that any company could stand to bene±t from. MRPeasy's slogan is a perfect capture of the very essence of what MRP can o²er to all companies no matter their size. The race to the bottom is always a losers game. I completely agree with your idea that you should not be sacri±cing short term bene±ts at the expense of long term relationships. While it seems that all of us in the academic world agree that short term gains should not be taken at the expense of long term relationships, why are so many CEOs compensation packages directly related to stock price performance? It seems to me that companies are willing to sacri±ce relationship with employees and customers because they feel they are in a position of power and can weather any short term storm of bad press. The boards of these companies are solely focused on ±nancial gain and employ CEOs that can drive results. A recent example of this is United Airlines; they treated customers poorly for years with the introduction of checked bags fees and overbooking ´ights which lead to customers being removed sometimes forcibly from planes. While the company did su²er some e mbarrassment related to these issues they continue to report successful results quarter after quarter.
