Organizational Analysis Description of Organization Littleton Adventist Hospital (LAH) is a 231-bed level II trauma center acute care hospital in Littleton Colorado. Littleton Adventist Hospital is one of seventeen hospitals included in the Centura Health System. Centura Health is part of Advent Health. AdventHealth is the largest non-profit healthcare organization in the United States. Littleton Adventist has grown over the last thirty years, serving more than 70,000 patients a year. The number of people employed by LAH was unavailable. However, the Centura Health Group, as an organization, employs approximately 21,000 professionals and more than 6,000 physician partners (Centura Health, n.d). The nursing organizational structure of Littleton Adventist Hospital follows a traditional structure of President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Director of Operations, Chief Nursing Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. Each unit has a dedicated manager, an assistant nurse manager, and a nurse educator. A unique feature of the leadership is they must be part of the Adventist faith to hold a top-level position. The gender makeup of the city was 48.3% male and 51.7% female. The education attained percentages are; 17.69 percent have a high school degree, 22.19 percent with some college, 7.21 percent with an associate degree, 30.17 percent have a bachelor's degree, and 17.09 percent have a graduate-level degree. The overall poverty rate is 7.50 percent. The median household income is $71,315, and the median income for married families is $108,698 (United States Census Bureau, 2018). Littleton Hospital primarily serves the city of Littleton and surrounding counties.
