Napa Valley is a safe place to live and to visit. Street crime and theft is not common in Napa Valley. Normal safety precautions are recommended. Napa police officer safety concern for this community include texting and driving and bring awareness of the consequences of texting and driving. Our school nurse safety concern for this community included education on the importance of immunization. The City of Napa Parks and Recreation Services Department provides residents with access to more than 54 parks that cover 800 acres of park land ( ). OLE Health Center offers Napa residents with health services, dental, vision, nutrition and educational classes. Human and Health Services offers Napa residents services which include assistance programs such as medi-cal, behavioral health, immunization, communicable disease education and assistance with child and adult abuse reporting. Napa has a homeless shelter; medical and dental services are provided at the shelter. Our school nurse believes our local resources are the strength of the community. Our Napa police officer believes the s trengths of the community include our first responders, police officers and fire department . 4465-5_19
