You will be working independently in the Media Center Tuesday through Thursday this week to research information about Quadratics. You will be finding information about: The Origin of Quadratics (When were they first invented? Who is credited with the invention? How were they first used?) Find interesting information! Where are quadratics found in nature/the world around us? Find at least 3 pictures of quadratics in the world and import them into your document. Explain what the pictures represent. Research 5 careers that use quadratics (excluding teaching). State exactly how quadratics are used in this career. These questions should be addressed in an essay of approximately 2 pages. Type font should be sized between 10-14 and use a standard font (Times New Roman/Comic Sans/ Century Gothic). All information found during research must be re-worded. NO COPYING FROM SOURCES. Please spell-check your document before submitting. This part of the project is worth 125 points. The origin of quadratics paragraph is worth a maximum of 20 points, each of the 3 illustrations/descriptions is worth  a maximum of 10 points and each of the 5 career descriptions is worth a maximum of 10 points.
