Vinaigrette are used to make a beautiful and delicious salad and then when the croutons and Vinaigrette ingredients are being used I’d pause the video and explain what are they and why they are being used. the last is French word to teach this word first I’d make the students pronounce the word and ask them if they think of any word that may be familiar to it and they reveal the words “ on the contrary” and explain the French word means on the contrary and explain in which scenarios the word is used and ask kids examples of any scenarios they can think where words “ on the contrary” can be used of this way students will learn where exactly the words can be used with understanding it. Building a Cultural Knowledge: To build cultural knowledge to clear any assumptions regarding the culture I’d play a short video of the French history and Menton Lemon festival which is known worldwide for French love towards citrus and food in general. As the text revolves around food this brief clip about the history and the lemon festival will give students an idea of the culture and create a curiosity in them about the French culture. VI. The Instruction strategy I’d use to teach this text is Response Notebooks. I’d read the text in the class and divide the students into groups and then ask them to read the text two times so that they can familiarize with the text and then after reading session I’d quote from the text and write my response in the response box on the board in the classroom and explain
to the students what was my thought process and how I ended up with my conclusion.
