moment was. I remember staying up for hours and analyzing my life to see if there were any other options, but it soon became very clear that the only way I would able to move past this and
see my family was if I took all my crud to Jesus. As much as it completely sucked to not see my parents for almost 4 months, I can’t say that I wish I didn’t happen. Because of this suffering, I finally came to Jesus and found comfort in His love and His power. I graduated the program in April 2016 and since then, I have turned to God for comfort because I know His will is so much more important than my own.2.Briefly summarize the problem of evil and suffering. Cite and reference the lecture and/orChapter 9 in the textbook.The main issue with evil and suffering that humans face is the possibility of it. As the textbook questions, “If God truly cares for humans, God is completely good and God has the power to help people, why then is there so much suffering and evil in the world?” (Larkin, 2017). Most cannot see a reason for suffering in their lives, so they question God’s abilities and goodness.3.Briefly summarize the Christian worldview’s response to the problem of evil and suffering. Cite and reference the lecture and/or Chapter 9 in the textbook.The Christian Worldview’s response to this general line of questioning is very simply. Just because WE cannot see a purpose for our suffering, does not in any way mean that God allows usto suffer for His amusement. Professor Matteson explained it as “The all-good, all-powerful God who created the universe permitted evil and has a good reason for it!” (Evil and Suffering, 2019).
