Amy has an obsessive compulsive disorder as she

This preview shows page 2 - 3 out of 3 pages.

Amy has an obsessive-compulsive disorder, as she obsesses with remaining persistently  and repeatedly clean. She possesses the repetitive behavior of washing her hands. 7. Sarah has an  unrealistic fear  of shopping in crowded stores and walking through crowded  streets. She has begun to spend more and more time  home alone  in order to avoid the  panicky   feeling she gets when she goes out in public. Sarah must have an anxiety disorder, specifically agoraphobia because she spends a lot of time home alone, because she is afraid of public settings, and is afraid of panicking in  public. She also experiences an unrealistic, excessive fear of shopping in crowded places. 8. Emmit, who has just suffered a serious knee injury, cannot undergo an MRI because he has an  irrational fear of narrow, enclosed places  that he developed after he got stuck in a well when he  was a kid.  Emmit has a specific phobia, most likely he is claustrophobic because he experiences a  severe, irrational fear of a specific situation (in this case, small spaces), and is caused by  a previous traumatic experience of being stuck in a well as a child.

PSYC 221 – Introduction to Psychological Science 9. Lately, Jon has been getting into physical fights and recently got arrested for trying to steal a  car. When his mom went to bail him out of jail, she told police officers that she doesn’t know  what to do with her son, as he  lacks remorse  for his behavior. She also revealed that this has  been going on for a long time – when he was a kid, he would even throw rocks at the stray cats  in the neighborhood.   Jon must have an Antisocial Personality Disorder for the following reasons: o Displays unlawful, destructive behavior, and aggressiveness (i.e. theft, physical  fights), and displaying no sign of empathy or remorse, as indicated by his mother.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
