better place to go. I had my reasons but there was also another half of me that didn’t fully know why but I knew I wanted to be here. Every time I was in the city, I had a feeling of “this is it”; I felt something special about New York City. I grew up going to the city as a kid, so I think it affected me subconsciously in some way. After a while people started taking me serious about moving to New York. I guess I had talked enough about my desire to move there that it finally sunk in with people that I wasn’t kidding. Keener 2 live in the city was to go to school so our first step was looking at schools. I spent about a month figuring out what school I was interested in and what schools were most likely to accept me. After seeing what grades, I needed to get in to the colleges I wanted, I had to put a lot of work into school to bring my grades up just a little more. Once I had chosen the school, I was interested in I applied. Once I applied there was a long and nerve-racking waiting process for me. We also had to figure out where I was going to live. My older brother had plans of moving to the city around the same time, so we decided to get an apartment together. This whole process was new to all of us. I had never applied to school and my parents have never had to find an apartment to live in in New York City. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
