raw material and energy usage have increased across the globe, while efficiency in the use of raw materials has not occurred. As a result, the rearrangement of resource expenditures such as the improvement of production techniques in one end of the global economy raises the investment of the resources. The article gives various alternatives that can assist in ending scarcity. For instance, the broad availability of networked computers has led to the emergence of new open-source business and community-driven models. To this end, the authors illustrate the way new methods of production are merging to help curb the scarcity of resources. For instance, the design global, manufacture local (DGML) model demonstrates how the digital commons can be leveraged by a technology project to engage the international community in its development. The DGML framework is believed to create resource actions accordingly because it reduces the need to ship production materials over long distances (Vasilis and Roos). It advocates for local manufacturing, which encourages producers to design goods that last for long periods and need minimal maintenance so that they can appeal to all consumers worldwide. Besides, the DGML model optimizes the sharing of product designs and knowledge since there is no patent cost. Vasilis and Andreas also describe why the DMGL ideology is essential for the future of modern businesses, the natural world, and the global economy. Firstly, they claim that most

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
