Critical Thinking Questions 1. Why do you think the use of holistic treatments for animals is controversial? The use of holistic treatments for animals are controversial because they don’t have much research on them and they aren’t always effective. People often are scared from straying away from traditional medicine because they don’t know the end results. Many owners want to know that the treatments that their animals undergo actually work and are safe for their use. 2. Why do you think more research has not been done on the use of holistic veterinary treatments? Not a lot of research has been done on the use of holistic veterinary treatments because many of these treatments aren’t scientifically tested or approved by the government. Which doesn’t give researchers much funds to research the effectiveness of these non traditional treatments.
