because this could cause a lot of harm, especially to a military contractor who would use them in missiles. If these missiles are faulty many innocent people could die. The first method of ethical reasoning is Utilitarianism, which is used for any action or rule that is used for the benefit of the society. This method is not used because Harry has considered only his benefit rather than the overall benefit to society. He thinks only about the benefit that he will get from the corporation but does not consider the loss of many lives that may also happen in the future due to the malfunctioning missiles. The second method of ethical reasoning is the right. The right to let a person act in a certain manner towards oneself or to others. In this case Harry is only thinking about himself and
not about the welfare of others when he should consider about the persons who are going to effect if the missile misfire. Third method of ethical reasoning is the justice approach. Which is to act in such a manner when a group of people is benefitted and the act is according to the law. The scenario in this case is far from this method, as no rules and regulations are taken care of. Rules say that a proper testing of the products must be finished before delivering them. The corporation has their own set of rules and regulations and since testing the products correctly is one of them it should be done. 3. What do you think Stanton should do or say now?
