Practicum Journal 3 Assessing health disorders for pediatric patients. I saw a variety of illnesses and diagnosis, as well as, an abundant of well child visits. Assess growth and development and psychosocial issues that commonly impact pediatric patients. Evaluated differential diagnosis for pediatric patients. Analyzed strategies to manage health disorders and growth and development issues in pediatric patients. Analyzed strategies to educate pediatric patients and their family about health disorders and growth and development concerns. Listened and distinguished heart murmurs. The one thing I was unable to accomplish on my list of goals included removing a wart. I was never presented with the opportunity. However, I was able to assist in an incision and drainage of a abscess. I was very happy to learn and experience as much as I possibly could. These last 10 weeks have taught me more than I could have imagined.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
