I think because I used to be so shy in being an active participant in group settings, I developed very good observational skills. Now, I am required to integrate my communication and my observational skills. I am particularly sensitive to the group overall ambiance. I easily can sense tension and the level of interest of the group’s participants. I feel confident that I am able to recognize areas where we can enhance our work through education. While I am able to assess problems, I still need to work on improving my ability to clearly state them and adequately set goals to improve. N4455 Nursing Leadership and Management when they feel overwhelmed with the job. I think this is the result of my ability to demonstrate my interest for the disease and for the job. I was meant to be a Clinical Research Nurse and enjoy the job so much that I am very passionate about learning. My first opportunity to develop my management skills was through a brief period of being charge nurse while I was still on the floor. I did not enjoy the opportunity nor did I feel that it was the right fit for me. In this new position, I have naturally become the driving force among my colleagues and I had to develop some new leadership skills. I have not had the opportunity to work on my one-on- one skills because with the exception of my weekly meetings with my boss, all of my weekly meetings average on seven or more attendants. I am satisfied with my ability to coach and mentor my colleagues, and even my boss with the use of our EMR system. I created educational material and conducted small learning sessions.
