executed, and a transition from a Joint Field Office and a standard Incident Command System structure to a National Disaster Recovery Framework structure is either underway or completed. Again, there are no official ending rules for an IAP but usually will occur when the above criteria have been met. The SARS incident on Little Columbia Southern Island is now in a holding pattern for at least the next ten days. The last victim has been identified, treated and is starting to improve. Resources, equipment, and personnel are starting to be demobilized. With a recovery support plan in place, the transition will be made to a National Disaster Recovery Framework structure; which will be handled by Little Columba Southern Island Fire Department.

INCIDENT ACTION PLAN ENDING PROCESS 5 The Future of Emergency Services Emergency services or emergency management is not a profession that can be seen ending anytime soon, if at all. There will always be natural disasters, man-made disasters, and terrorism is showing no signs of slowing down, it is only finding other ways to carry out devastating events. If anything, emergency services and emergency management will have to step up their game to stay ahead and improve response, recovery and mitigation of events as they occur. Moving forward into the future emergency services will be impacted and influenced by technology. Today, many systems that are employed are reactive systems in terms of alerting stakeholders of an impending event. As organizations upgrade their technology for better detection and event observation, a need to have an effective response plan is essential. A new application, Intergraph Canada’s Planning and Response, is a web-based solution to help emergency operations managers suppress the occurrence of an emergency or to prevent one from becoming insurmountable by having effective multi-agency coordination and communication. The application helps manage planned and unplanned events by helping prepare, coordinate, communicate, document, and analyze emergency events across jurisdictions and agencies. The application is web-based, allowing the solution to be entirely scalable and field-compliant for proper intelligence dissemination (Khor, 2015).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
