Research among Swedish architects show that there is a value of producing creative work, not only because of intrinsic motivation, but also in order to gather creative capital since the architects are in a profession characterized by portfolio careers, with emphasis on what has been produced (Styhre, Gluch 2009). This can be done through education and mentoring, but also through highly creative results of the tasks being performed, that can be added to the employee’s portfolio.
