8. Cleaning and sorting in the I.T. department The I.T. department had old computers and other peripheral devices stored in their office. So we had to take them to the registry and arrange them there for further sorting. 9. Registration of cheques into the books

This was one of the starter duties which involved putting down the details of the cheques i.e. their holders, the amount allocated & the cheque number into the books. 10. Issuing of cheques This was a process which involved a member, after being issued with a cash deposit receipt at the reception, we would write a cheque of the requested amount. The amount also could be deducted from the customer’s account and be paid to the recipient’s account. 11. Registering Loan forms This was another starter duty which involved recording the loan forms’ details into the books. The details were the loanee names, work number, amount applied for, the guarantors, period of payment and the loan type. There were specific books for each type of loan. A profile in skills and competencies gained Customer Care/service Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase. Customer service also is a series of activities designed to enhance the level of customer satisfaction – that is, the feeling that a product or service has met the customer expectation. Here I got to learn a number of points. A customer will be upset if the product offered unto him/her is not effective or has expired. So whenever I’m faced with such a situation, I should contain myself to meet his/her expectations of repairing, correcting and making that particular product effective. Also appreciation is another key point to win your clients credibility & forming a strong bond between myself and the clients. Employee Relationship management This entails the relationship between the organization and its employees. This was effectively handled using the Employee Relationship Management system. The system comprised of a workflow management system & a knowledge management system. As many procedures awaited us to perform them, we had to allocate each person different duties. Thereby rights and privileges were given by the system administrator to each person as per the tasks given i.e. in the systems. This has helped in reducing much workload on a person and increased the work-bond between me and other staff. Working to meet set Deadlines and achieve the best results Some of the tasks and duties I performed involved my seniors setting deadlines for me to attain them. So this has helped me to work much faster and harder to meet the set deadlines, with much emphasis on achieving the best results. Working under pressure

There are times when clients would not get their salaries or loans at the set time and at other times the clients and even my seniors would demand so much to be done by me. I learnt the skills of containing myself to meet and work with the kind of pressure that this procedure would present themselves before me.
