15 Critical Resources Human Resources Human Resource Management (HRM) is the team within a company or organization that mostly oversees recruiting of leadership and management, team members and giving direction for the people who work within the company/organization. The HRM team members give and offer the information, necessary tools, knowledge, training, administrative services, coaching, legal and management advice, and talent management oversight that the rest of the company/organization needs in order to have a successful operation. Not only does HR protect and support the wellbeing of employees but, they protect the assets of the company dealing with payroll and unethical situation from occurring or escalating. (Heathfield, 2017) Here at XPO Logistics the MGVO’s is not only created for the happiness of the customer, but also for the employees of XPO Logistics. At XPO logistics, everything involving personnel, payroll, leave, benefits and anything else pertaining to HR is through People Services. People Services was created by XPO to protect and assist XPO’s biggest asset which is the employees. People Services can be accessed 24/7 on the web through myxpo.xpo.com using employee credentials. This website allows any level of employee to create cases with issues or questions for payroll, scheduling, performance management, direct deposit, company updates/news/ announcements and so much more. Below is a screen shot of what the home page of the website looks like, and a large amount of what the HRM system offers. (XPO Our Company, 2018) Accomplishing but not limiting to such MGVO’s as being united or committed is a great example of the positive impact that the HR management system relates to XPO’s MGVO’s.
