While the real GDP of Mexico was 1.07% more than the UK’s at 2.47% It can also be observed that the growth rate is decreasing between the years 2005 and 2009, as it declines from an approximate 2.5% to -4.5% which may be due to a decrease in inflation and increased chances of a recession. increase within the year at which GDP rose by 10%. Therefore, suggesting that the economic crisis was contained, and the economy stabilised. This can be seen as afterwards the gross domestic returned to normal. The trends of GDP growth in Mexico is very much like the Uk, in which the country saw a decrease in GDP in the year of 2009, but the annual percentage for gross domestic product in Mexico is always higher than that of Uk, in which according to (appendix 1) in 2010 Mexico’s GDP was approximately 4% higher. Both countries see a substantial decline in GDP in 2009, therefore suggesting that they were both affected by the financial crisis in 2008, in which according to Thanaset and Kai-Hong (2014) was
