Although they have different views with different opinions both have convincing reasoning on Truman’s decision of dropping the atomic bomb. The author is reliable as he seems to present both opinions of the scholars and does not favor one over the other.

The decision to drop the atomic bomb to end WWII is vital in studying the atomic bomb, Japan and WWII. I have to understand the reasoning behind dropping the bomb, Truman’s decision making and how it impacted the USA, USSR and Japan.
