They are too busy trying to be everybody’s friend all the time instead of the boss. I agree there is a time where you need to be your employee’s friend, but there also comes a time where you need to be the boss and take care of certain issues. They need to develop their skills when talking one- on-one to individuals so they can get to the root of the issue and see what the problem is. One of the biggest barriers faced with this issue is the managers have no commitment to enforce the dress code. They say they are going to but it never gets done. Another barrier that is present is the opposition of the employees. A lot of employees oppose the dress code when it is being discussed, but do not have a reason to back it up. These are the people that almost immediately speak up when any issue is brought to the floor without any rhyme or reason. Usually they are able to bring other people to their side and make it a bigger issue than it was before. The corporation uses a number of to help with the outcome of any issue they have. To deal with this particular issue a method we have used is complaint
