existence of the Internet and globalization, I firmly believe that it is true. In the past, in terms of communication, the most common way to be used was letters. However, it took several days, even several months for a letter to come to the receivers, depending on their distance. Telephones were seldom used as they were not only expensive but also unavailable in some faraway places. Thanks to the Internet, people nowadays are able to keep in touch with others, regardless of their graphic distances or regions. Letters take only a few seconds to be sent and received, and Internet also shortens the time needed to prepare letters. What’s more, it opens a wide variety of types of entertainment with online games and social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, so on and so forth. Additionally, there are more choices of films and channels with premium quality, including those produced internationally, which are now available for watchers compared to the limited ones in the past. In the same way, globalization shortens the distances among countries all over the world, which lowers the cost of transportation in these areas. Cheaper international flights have make it easier for thousands, even millions of people to work and travel abroad: what they have to think is where to go and where to stay. Although studying abroad sounds very tempting, many students still in the middle way of deciding where to go and which country suits them best. To sum up, having more choices in this modern world does more harm than good, as far as I am concerned.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
