pathological conditions are a manifestation of the patient’s total pattern, the removal of pathology does not itself change the pattern of the individual patients and that health is an expansion of consciousness. Newman’s theory main idea is to improve relationship and partnership between nurses to patients and patients to their families. As nurses by having agood relationship with patients it is easier to identify and understand better their needs and address them as best as possible through a constant interaction.King’s theory has helped and improve nursing practice by encouraging nurses and patients to have a better relationship and improve teamwork. On the other side, Newman’s theory has enabled nurses to better understand patient frustrations and stress and ease therelationship between them and the patient family pattern.
