feelings of being misunderstood, the sadness and loneliness and I dream of the self I want. Briefly summarize your thoughts on Rogers’s major concepts of the self,self-actualization, and unconditional positive regard.Rogers had some good thoughts on his major concepts of the self, self-actualization and unconditional positive regard. The components of the actual, ideal and ought selves make sense to me, as do his ideas on self-actualization and unconditional positive regard. I know that my mom tried very hard to give us unconditional love and support while we were growing up. However, it was hard for her at times. She was very young when she had me, only 16, and I spent the first 3 years of my life living between my grandparent’s house and my mom’s abusive first husbands place (not my biological dad). My mom put up with his abuse because she thought I should have a father figure in my life, but the first time he laid a hand on me, she packed up and left.It was her love for me that gave her the strength to leave and I am so grateful and proud of her for that. What research design(s) did Rogers use in his studies?Carl Rogers used what is known as psychotherapy for his research. Do you think Rogers conducted his research ethically? Why or why not?Yes, I do think his research was done ethically. He received permission from his patients before recording them in their therapy sessions.
