A key focus will be on supporting College risk improvement and identifying significant risks to the College. Specific projects will be required from time to time requiring in depth risk and operational focus to support improving our operational resilience. Key Responsibilities You will work closely with the Director of Risk Management and Head of Business Continuity to deliver improvements in Risk Management and Business Continuity for the College. The role will support the evolution of our College wide risk management approach with a key focus on significant strategic and operational risks to the College, leading on in depth risk projects such as deep dives and control development. Job Description Improve Risk Management process across the College, driving a focus on significant risks at Department and Faculty levels and our College risks. Support the College risk bi-annual process working with departments and respective risk owners to challenge inputs to the risk process and improve the quality of our risk data. Advise and support programme risk requirements for major projects. Facilitate risk workshops as needed and build good relationships with Departments. Develop useful risk insights for use at all levels of the College to inform risk based decision making. Develop risk deep dives for College risks. Design and implement a periodic horizon scanning risk approach and keep up to date with external risk benchmarks and new trends in risk management. Working with the risk team, Identify and support risk training needs across College as required. Work with control owners and stakeholders on College and Faculty risks to support effective risk control identification and implementation seeking to improve risks where possible. Maintain up to date Risk Management knowledge and awareness of sector trends and how they may apply to Imperial. Work flexibly to accommodate satellite meetings with Heads of Departments and service providers to as required. Develop risk reports for use in risk committees and department meetings, in support of the Director of Risk.
