Client comment 2: "Why don’t you keep a journal? Having a journal, you can write down all your feelings in the moment, then revisit them at a later time. Sometimes we tend to not think rationally when we are mad. I am sure that your mother wants the best for you.” Client comment 3: "What is it that you need help with?” Client comment 4: "Wow, you do have a full load on your hands. Even though you don’t know where to begin most days, it seems that you do get it all done, and successfully.” Client comment 5: " I can imagine that losing a child is a hard situation, and it is completely normal to be upset. But do you think your daughter would want you to be upset all of the time. I am sure you have some great memories. Do you mind sharing them?” Person Centered Therapy Client comment 1: Motivational interviewing asks open ended questions that allow the client to speak freely. These questions are then guided, and then tied together at the end of the session. The goal is for the client to gain insight into the situation, thus promoting success (Corey, 2017).
