The colonists separated and eventually formed their own government which greatly relies on John Locke and Baron De Montesquieu’s writing of an ideal government system. John Locke’s ideas on natural rights are seen in every aspect of an American’s life. Everyone has the right to life unless they take that right away from somebody else. The Bill of Rights lists America’s citizen's rights and presents the liberty and equality which everyone has. And lastly, everyone has the right to property, although some don’t have it and there are heavy taxes on them that can take those rights away as well. The most lasting impact of the revolution are checks and balances, that were presented through Montesquieu's description of a perfect government, allows a democracy to not fall into the hands of one tyrant and maintains the natural rights that all American citizens unless they break the law. There are three branches of government; Executive, Judicial, and Legislative. The Executive branch consists of President, Vice President, Presidential Cabinet, Staff Members,
