Overall, the adoption of the modified stroke scale is an effective way of enhancing the management of stroke patients and improve outcomes. The project is expected to enhance the process of assessment of in-house stroke patients. The implementation of the program within the hospital will result in improved quality outcomes. Many institutions have attempted to transform stroke care and implement teams in order to detect stroke either by using NIHSS, or other means. However, it is too early to detect whether, their practice change has led to significant outcomes that could be distributed to other nearby facilities with improved outcomes, and used as a standard in practice.
