Does it make any significant difference whether you measure the diameterand the length of the wire at the beginning (with only 1kg), or when there are7kg total loaded on the hook. Explain. Yes, more weight on the wire will result in more stress on the wire which caneventually lead to elongation or stretching. V.ConclusionIn conclusion, in this experiment we were able to see how Young’s Modulus worksand how elasticity is related to the stress and strain in a wire. While conducting theexperiment and recording stress and strain, the results showed that the weight or forceapplied to this system would have an immediate effect on the stress and consequentlyaffect the strain by elongating and stretching the wire. The stress and strain ultimatelyaffect the young’s modulus of the data which were the inverse of each other for each case, graph 1 has a positive young’s modulus while graph 2 has a young’s modulus that is verysimilar but in the opposite direction giving it a negative value.
