Homework #1 money and happiness.docx

Freedom is wanted but all but not given to all i tend

This preview shows page 2 out of 2 pages.

am at Dartmouth I am saving a lot of money and able to be happier. Freedom is wanted but all but not given to all. I tend to not enjoy being locked up in a house not able to go out with friends, or if I was unable to do something just because a woman isn’t supposed to. Women have come a long way since even just a couple hundred years ago, we can now vote, own our own houses, work, and even hold high positions of office in the government. Women are not the only ones who have had to fight for our freedom, we as a country have also had to. Having the freedom, we are given today has come at a very hefty price and most likely could never have been done and could not continue without the abundance of money. From paying for the Military, law changes and taxes. Happiness isn’t something I will ever believe can be just brought about with an abundance of money (at least for me), but money does allow us to have the things in our life that make up happy. Without parents who have supported me greatly and working on my own, I would most likely feel depressed due to the lack of things in my life that I feel make me happy. Money may not equal happiness, but it sure does help.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
