The read-only domain controllers (RODC) are a unique addition to the Windows Server 2012 R2 that contains the complete replication of the domain database and will be essential in sites that will have low physical security. Typically, RODCs are meant to accept only inbound replication connections. To make changes to the active directory, the network administrator will be required to connect to a programmable domain controller. Monitoring replication allows the network administrator to identify any security-related issues between the domain controllers quickly. The Active Directory Replication Status tool will be used to monitor the domain controller environment for any problems. Conclusion

Running Head: ELearning Windows Server Infrastructure Redesign and Upgrade This proposal critically evaluates the entire process of upgrading the ELearning network infrastructure from the old and outdated environment to the modern, secure and more scalable Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. Apart from being scalable, robust and more secure, the newer model will also address the common issues that ELearning has undergone over the past couple of years. The Windows Server 2012 R2 environment is highly flexible and offers a wide variety of inbuilt security features. The new setting is highly recommended for the organization since it will help it meet its goals while being mindful of any future developments. References
