Educational placement Educational placement represents an organised effort to match the qualification of individuals plus personal interest and resources with the requirements of institutions and programmes. Mostly school counsellors with responsibilities for college and other post secondary educational placement provide information to students regarding institutional entrance requirements, expenses, characteristics of the institution and programme contents. Counsellors also frequently assist students in completing application forms for higher institutions.
