According to the US News and World report Job Ranking for 2018, finance jobs consistently rank high (top 8 jobs). As such, I figured I share and brag with you about the MSF (Master of Science in Finance) program here at UB SOM. Go here to learn more about the MSF degree/program at UB SOM: - programs/master-of-science-ms/finance.quantitative-finance-.html From day 1, I have communicated to you all that I am indeed biased and feel that everyone should major, minor, or sub-specialize in Finance given the tremendous optionality this field affords. If you are interested in learning more about the field of finance and about the MSF degree at UB, go to the above link and review the program and its requirements. Of course, always feel free to visit with me during office hours as others have to discuss this amazing and growing field. In the past, I have strongly encouraged you to do them as they are conceptual in nature and are supposed to guide you through the materials for this class. While not mandatory and based on my conversation with some of you of recent, it appears that not many students are using this unique learning device. As such, I would like to make available the following option: If you do the Learn Smart questions relating to the selected chapters as outlined below, then you will earn additional cumulative points (0.5 point earned for each exercise) for the overall class. Chapters 12, 13, 14, 15, and 18 The selected chapters aforementioned will indeed prep you for exam 3. Dear Students, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of your classmates this morning. They were kind of enough to share with me (in a constructive manner) their feedback of the course. To my chagrin, I'm so thrilled to learn that they are enjoying the course, learning a great deal about finance, and that there is even a Tim's Fan Club! Woo-hoo! In our productive correspondence, some requested for extra credit assignments to boost their grades as they are on the cusp of a C-/D+ or B-/B+. It is true that philosophically I tend to not give extra credit assignments. Friendly reminder: I did go out of my way to offer 4 bonus questions on Exam 2. You Are Welcome !

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
