Strategic Report The system that is being analyzed in this report is the Backup system. Through research and evaluation of the current backup system, the various employees involved in data entry and retention discussed with us of the following points. The current data is stored on a server on site There is a filing system in place with a 7-year retention period There is no contingency plan in pace in the case an on-site disaster The people responsible for the data in the server do not know where the server is Some of possible impacts that this system has to the organization include: Loss of customer confidence with regards to the safety of their information will decrease the number of local companies doing business with us affecting revenue and cash flow in the process A loss in the server that contains the backup would delay business processes and thus affecting revenue Past students outstanding fees information will be lost Records of past training and student information will be lost A loss in the retained files would mean that the standards that the organization promised through its quality policies that are a requirement for an ISO organization has not been kept, thus questioning the integrity of the organization. Currently, the organization has employed the following security measures for most of its confidential documents and data Softcopy Security Hardcopy Security User name/password requirements Security Guard Access rights Lock mechanism Server security Security Notices Current System Assumptions Disasters do not happen frequently or at all. This is based on the observation that both the soft copy and hard copy backups are in the same location.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
