attitude. This is shown by her active nature and by the way that she responds to Merman or other people with sarcasm or silly answers. One final phrase that I would like to point out is when Merman asks Fornes about close people in her life: “Who would you say is the closest person to you?” “Right now? No one.” From this phrase I understood that she often feels struggling with her memory loss which makes her alone. This section of the film became more serious and I felt like it gave the documentary a genuine feeling. In the end, Memran conducted a near decade long interview featuring Fornes day to day handling her memory loss. She comments about her plays as we are shown pictures and footage accompanied with. Her previous colleagues comment on their experience working with her and we see how Fornes recalls various events during her youth, especially when speaking about her family or her “soil” Cuba. It is clear how she missed her family in Cuba by the way that she greets them and sings along with them in a nostalgic way. We see a very lighthearted and uplifting Fornes in nearly every shot that she is present, acting with a very joyful mood. We clearly see how she is enjoying the moment, especially now that she has been developing a strong relationship with Memran since the moment that she first started to suffer from memory loss. Most of the time Fornes is seen with a “spontaneous creative spirit,” but there are moments when she gets personal with the camera and comments about her lack of having someone special like her previous lovers in the past.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
