No I don’t like horror. Do you any good comedy movies. Carer. Yes. They have comedies too. John. Ok then, what time is it. Carer. The show is at 12.00. So we will have lunch outside. John. But I also have my go appointment tomorrow Carer. We will be on time for gp. It in afternoon. John. I want to popcorn at the movie. Carer. You can’t have corn so I will make sandwiches for you. Which sandwich do you like? Here the carer is providing emotional support by making him happy. The barrier is his diet as he can’t have pop corns. But the carer gives a sandwich instead to make him happy. 3. Manager. Do you wish the carers to give you support in cooking, grooming and meeting all your personal care? Client. No I can cook for myself so I just need a help in medication, exercises and other house works. Manager. How many hours would you like to supported? Clients. 4 hours a day. It could be any time during day. Manager. You have mobility issues. You should use a walker. Client. No I like to be independent. And I am seeing physio for that. Manager. If you had a fall when you walk alone? Client. I don’t walk outside. If I have to I use wheelchair The client wants to be independent so doesn’t use walker. He resist to take any help from carer except his house works. There is risk of accident so his behaviour
