have been through to reach freedom. On a lighter note I believe you’ll find your first writing assignment interesting especially if the topic is the same from what I’ve done. You may be asked to write your own slave narrative in which you get to control and determine the story and outcome for your own life. This assignment allows you to reflect back to your ancestors and think about what they went through during slavery and how their life turned out rather they reached freedom or not. You’re creative juices will began to flow and your prior knowledge of slavery and reading other narratives will help guide you through your story until your deep enough to draw your own path and create the story you desire. Also you may enjoy doing the poetry assignment where your free to write about whatever you want as long are your protesting the subject.

Overall if you’re interested in the history of African Americans and you have enjoyment in reading and writing then you will definitely find this class as interesting as I do. However, if your professor isn’t Mrs.Wardell then I’m not sure how the class will go for you. I say this because she has a wonderful method of teaching and she allows her students to be free in reflections from assignments, and she offers in class discussions and assignments that allow you to conversate with classmates to expand the knowledge she shares with you. I hope your experience is as good as mine have been and I hope you learn as much as I have so far. Best Regards, Amari O.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
