Hormonal Control of Female Sexual Behavior Whereas, male sexual behavior is relatively constant day-to-day. Female sexual behavior (especially in non-primates) fluctuates under control of reproductive endocrine cycle. In rodents, females display sexual behavior only during behavioral estrous (proestrus). In primates, including women, hormones regulate sexual behavior but not absolute control.
