Back in the day this song was cool. “Jam on Revenge” was Newcleus’s first song, and first successful song. “Jam on Revenge” was released in 1983; it was originally released in one label and released again in another label. That single hit the top 40 chart, in the same year. Midi technology allows you to press on button on a keyboard and watch everything at one time. Newcleus took advantage of this technology and was one of the first groups to use it in their albums. “Jam on it” - everyone sounds the same. Run D.M.C was the biggest game changer, when he came in the picture, hip hop changed, and Newcleus faded quickly. First hip hop song and jazz song, a fusion of both hip hop and jazz. Is called a scratch-driven instrumental song. This song is called Rocket. “Rockit” became a state of break-dancing song. Herby Hancock is a legendary musician. Born in 1944 “Rockit” (Grandmixer DST & Herbie Hancock, 1983) is recognized as the first hip-hop/jazz synthesis or jazz-hip hop fusion. This scratch-driven instrumental single was one of the 1st true breakdancing classics. Not only was it an enormous hit, moreover, the video of the track won five MTV awards. He was making music since 1960. During the 1970s he had 11 albums in the top charts. “Rockit” song was more of an experiment for Herby 3 members of the Soul Sonic Forces : Mr.Bakes , Powwow , last MC is MC G.L.O.P
