Running head: ANALYZING TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3 The next step is to buy a domain name with which the website will be hosted. The best domain name will be with the name of Allied Smart Parts. The domain alliedsmartparts.com is available to be purchased. After this is the time to plan the structure of the website. The website will host the list of products the company sells to businesses. Since it is a B2B site and sells in wholesale to businesses, certain products will have a minimum quantity limit. The web scripts to be programmed will not allow the buyer to order below this. Each item will have its quantity- wise price mentioned with a text-box for the user to enter the quantity to be ordered. Like most online sellers, the order-processing technology used will be an electronic shopping cart into which items can be added after entering their quantity in the provided text box and clicking on the Add to Cart button. In order to have returning businesses as customers of this EC, there will be a user account management system. Before purchasing anything, the user will have to log into the website using a username and password. New users will be allowed to sign up for a new account by providing their business information such that direct consumers are not allowed to register. This requirement has also been controlled with the help of the quantity constraints as stated above.
