Intervention According to Sikhism, one must give Dasvandh, which translates to a “tenth part” and refers to the practice among Sikhs of contributing one-tenth of their earnings towards the community. In Punjabi, this act of giving is called “Daan” or “contributing” to charity. In the religion of Sikhism, charitable giving is a religious obligation and a requirement that is highly valued in the Sikh way of life. To illustrate, a passage in the Guru Granth Sahib that portrays the importance of charitable giving is, “He who eats what he earns through his earnest labor and from his hand gives something in charity; he alone, O Nanak, knows the true way of life." As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
