• Learn and use Microsoft Office Project 2010 software. Textbook: Project Management in Practice, 5th Edition. ISBN: 978-1-118-67466-6 • You must have the correct edition of the book for this class and you must have this book by Week 3. No exceptions. Course Requirements and Evaluation: • Attendance and active participation are required. Attendance does not constitute participation. • Absences should be discussed ahead of time and approved by the instructor. Absences will only be approved for more than 24 hours in advance of the class and if they are in writing. Repeated tardiness, coming back from breaks late, and unexcused absences will result in a reduction of Participation points which may potentially impact your final grade. 2

Weekly Readings and Assignments: In Week 1, pair up with another student; this is the person you will be working with on Project 2010 and the assignments for 8 weeks. You can choose to work alone if you wish. If the person you pair up with ends up being “less than contributive”, feel free to “fire” them and work alone. For Weeks 1-2, you will be learning the Project 2010 software. Your instructor will provide the materials and you will be using the software on the Concordia laptops. If you have Project 2010 on your own laptop, even better.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
