4. Explain transformation-transactional and charismatic – visionary leadership with examples. Transactional-Transformational: Getting things done by promising pay increases, recognition and advancements to employees who perform well. They elevate the interest of the employees. Charismatic-visionary: They create a vision of the desired future, and convince followers that they will be the only ones who will be able to gain that future state. 5. Explain the following: a. Absenteeism i. These are unscheduled absences from work. Any reason aside from being sick. b. Turnover i. The number of employees leaving the organization. Note that committed employees have lower rates of turnover and absenteeism. c. Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) i. Actions that are not required by workers but benefit the team and encourage even greater organizational functioning and efficacy. These behavior is seen as positive by managers and are often noted or rewarded.
