Sam seems like a very capable person and is aptly rewarded for his status within the company. However, from the article Sam was too ambitious and was trying to take on all of the work by himself. This is difficult, especially for someone who was newly transferred into a completely different environment where the previous manager may have a different style of managing. As a result of Sam trying to fix all the problems himself, he has created more problems for the company as important projects have not been progressing as planned. In order for Sam to have more time on his hands, it would be wise to organize and list the problems and then assign these problems to the appropriate departments within the new plant so that he will be less stressed and will have more time to work on projects that had his mind set on, as well as the time he needs to spend with his family and time he needs for himself. Therefore, although Sam is a very capable manager, he is currently not promotable because of his lack of judgement and managing skills for the mass of problems that came up.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
