theory unconditional positive regard is a great concept. I believe if this is established at a young age, it will help with a child’s self-esteem and self-worth. Having those positive traits instilled can help in self-actualization. The research design Carl Rogers used was gathering L-data, O-data, and T-data. He could use this during his client centered therapy and help them get in touch with their true and ideal self. By focusing on the client, he observed gathered information from them, analyzed, observed,
and gave feedback, positive and negative. This humanist way of therapy could be tested. This humanistic therapy was more relatable to the client, comforting, and accepting. I think Carl Rogers was very ethical in his research. He changed the rules of ethics because of his research. His modifications of the essential beliefs concerned with the ethics of the client granted them more protections than the therapists and doctors. In researching Car Rogers, I came across one of his quote that really resonated with me. It gave me more insight on his thinking and how he developed his theory.
