secretaries have to have their time sheets for all employees at their school complete by 10 am Monday morning, this deadline is very crucial for our payroll process. When we come into work Monday morning we expect to be able to start processing payroll right away, in the perfect world all school sites meet the deadline and have no errors with their times. In reality the 10 am deadline is met usually by 11 at the latest with minimal errors. Having this deadline has worked out for us most times and that has allowed us to not have to work 12+ hours a day to get payroll processed. Recently this deadline has not been withheld and it has really been hard for us to process payroll on time. We have had to work very long days and fix multiple errors due to the deadline not being enforced at the director level. As you can see

having deadlines really help with the payroll process and when it is not enforced we have to pay the consequences of working long days to ensure everyone gets paid on time and correctly. 225 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Learning Guide Unit 3 by Ryan Engle - Tuesday, 25 September 2018, 2:58 AM it was good but I didn't see how you used measurement to optimize productivity. just knowing when things should arrive is a given for any job. What other things do you work on if it doesn't arrive on time to keep the flow of the day? 46 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Learning Guide Unit 3 by Rebecca Davis - Tuesday, 25 September 2018, 10:30 AM Measurement was used by figuring out the time they have to submit hours in order for us to complete payroll on time. 22 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Learning Guide Unit 3 by Maryflora Odhiambo - Wednesday, 26 September 2018, 3:45 AM

Would it not be possible to move the deadline earlier to minimize these issues or would that cause other additional problems? 39 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply Re: Learning Guide Unit 3 by Salmane Salih - Wednesday, 26 September 2018, 10:36 PM Great Rebecca, I like the deadline example, and I totally agree that deadlines boost a type of energy and focus that gets people moving to get things done. just for instance students with deadline assignments, they slack and procrastinate all week but when the last two or three days before the assignment, they give all their best to finish on time. 61 words Permalink | Show parent | Reply

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
